Are you Curious about Jesus, but Don't Want to Feel Pressured by Others?

Maybe you’ve found yourself here because you’re searching.

Maybe life feels heavy, confusing, or even just a little empty—and something in your heart is whispering, “There’s got to be more than this.”

I get it.

I’ve been there too.

And here’s the beautiful truth: that yearning in your heart? It’s there on purpose.

We were meant to long for something more.

That deep desire for peace, purpose, and love that never runs out—it’s part of how God designed us.

We were created to know Him, to walk with Him, and to live in relationship with Him.

But if your background is anything like mine, maybe you were brought up being afraid of God. Maybe you were taught He was distant, angry, or only loved you if you followed all the rules perfectly.

But I promise you—that is not who He is.

That’s not His heart at all.

When I finally started pursuing God for myself—when I began asking questions and bringing my fears and doubts to Him—He didn’t shame me.

He gently showed me the truth.

He revealed His kindness, His patience, and His unfailing love. And what I discovered changed everything: God isn’t waiting to punish you. He’s waiting to embrace you.

Maybe you've heard this before—or maybe you’ve said it yourself:

“I don’t believe in some magical man in the sky. I’m already a good person.”

I understand that mindset.

For a long time, I thought being a “good person” was enough.

I believed if I didn’t hurt anyone, tried to be kind, and lived decently, I was doing just fine.

Not everyone walks around with a deep ache or some life-shattering pain.

Some people feel pretty okay.

Life’s not perfect, but it’s manageable.

But doesn’t it make you wonder…

Why is it that, for thousands and thousands of years, people keep talking about Jesus?

Why has His name stirred hearts across generations, across cultures, across the world? Why are there still people today—rational, intelligent, ordinary people—who can’t stop talking about Him?

What is it that happens in someone’s heart when they finally see Jesus for who He really is?

I was one of those people.

I didn’t fully understand it either—until I encountered Him, like really felt and saw him. Remember the post; Is God Real? The Event that Changed Me?

And when I did, something inside me changed.

That event took me from a believer to a follower.

His love, His presence, His power—it was undeniable.

And once you taste it, it’s really hard to be quiet about it.

Aren’t you at least a little curious about why?

Jesus isn’t just a historical figure.

He’s not a myth or a symbol. He is real. He is alive.

And He still meets people right where they are today.

He’s not asking you to blindly believe.

He’s inviting you to seek—to ask, to wrestle, to look deeper.

When I first started seeking Jesus, I didn’t know what to say.

My prayers sounded more like:

“Jesus, if You’re real… I need You to show up.”
“I don’t even know if You hear me, but I’m reaching out anyway.”
“Please just help me."

And He was. And He is. And He will.

Prayer isn’t about fancy words or getting it all right.

Prayer is just talking to Jesus.

Like He’s sitting beside you.

Because He is.

He wants your honesty.

Your questions.

Your fears.

Your curiosity.

And He welcomes it all with open arms.

You don’t need perfect words or a perfect life to follow Jesus.

You just need to be willing.

Start with one chapter of Matthew a day.

Talk to Jesus as you go.

Be honest.

Ask Him to help you understand what you’re reading.

Ask Him to show you who He really is.

If you're ready to begin, I encourage you to start reading in the Book of Matthew—the first book of the New Testament.

I created a 7 day guide on getting started.

Why Matthew?

Because it brings you face-to-face with Jesus.

Not the “religious version” of Jesus that may have been misrepresented—but the real, living, loving Son of God who walked this earth with compassion, humility, and a deep love for messy people like you and me.

You’ll read His teachings, see His miracles, and witness how He welcomed the broken, the doubters, the outcasts, and the seekers. And as you read, you’ll begin to see His heart—a heart full of grace and truth.

Here’s a simple prayer to get you started:

Jesus, I don’t have all the answers. But I want to know You. Show me who You are. Help me see how deeply You love me. Help me understand what I read. Walk with me through this. I want to follow You. Amen.

No one is too far gone.

No one is too “good” or too “bad. ”We all need a Savior.

And Jesus came for all of us.

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

Just take the first step.

He’s already waiting.

You are not alone in this.

I’m walking this road too, and I’d love to cheer you on as you begin this beautiful, life-changing journey.
